David Verbance

David joined Nationwide Investments in 2000 and was a member of the management team responsible for over $100 billion in assets when he retired in 2019.  As Head of Alternative Investments, David was responsible for building third party management and the alternative investments portfolio.  During his career at Nationwide, he also served as Chief Investment Officer of the Property & Casualty business and co-led the development of the Nationwide Corporate Venture Capital team. Prior to Nationwide, David worked for Bank of America for 15 years in Investment and Corporate Banking and began his career in retail banking at AmSouth Bank.

David currently serves as an Executive Partner for Tamarind Hill and a board advisor for SkyView Investment Advisors, a New Jersey based investment management firm. David is an active member of the OhioHealth Investment Committee, a non-profit hospital system based in Central Ohio. David graduated from University of Alabama in Birmingham and received an MBA from DePaul University.
