Dr. Steve Allen

Dr. Steve Allen is a purpose-driven leader, respected physician, and arguably one of the most esteemed CEOs in healthcare. He served as the CEO of Nationwide Children's Hospital, America's second-largest children's hospital, for over a decade. Under his leadership, Nationwide Children's consistently ranked as a Top 10 Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, with patient visits doubling from 711,000 to over 1.4 million, and attracting families from all 50 states and more than 50 countries worldwide. When it came to innovation, Dr. Allen fostered a  "sense of urgency" within the culture of the organization. He has also served as Chair of the Children’s Hospital Association and is a strong advocate for public policy issues impacting pediatric healthcare at the local, state, and federal levels.
